One of the best receivers in Edmonton football history is getting his place on the EE Wall of Honour. Terry Vaughn, who spent six seasons in Green and Gold between 1999 and 2004, was announced Thursday as the 2023 Wall of Honour inductee, becoming the 42nd player to earn the Club’s highest honour. On November 24, 2002, the Green and Gold had the rare opportunity to play for the Grey Cup in front of their home fans, at Commonwealth Stadium. Edmonton was looking to win its first championship since 1993, but it was not to be on that night. Before 62,531 spectators, the Montreal Alouettes defeated the Green and Gold 25-16.
