TSN/RDS has exclusive access and rights for all CFL games. No other media outlets are permitted to film video inside the stadium on game day without the prior written permission from The CFL and TSN/RDS.

The CFL strictly prohibits media from mobile live streaming (e.g., Periscope, Meerkat) inside CFL stadiums during all pre-season, regular season and playoff games, including the Grey Cup.  Any live streaming inside the stadium on game-day until the final whistle is expressly prohibited. This includes all areas of the stadiums inside the bowl: on-field play, pre-game warmups, special on-field ceremonies, TV timeouts, spectator areas, press box and any pre-game or half-time shows.

Media are strictly prohibited from live streaming any portion of a CFL team practice. Any pre/post practice availabilities will be banned unless they receive permission from the team’s communications department.

Live streaming of pre/post-game interviews or any media availabilities that are accessible and opened to multiple news outlets will be prohibited unless they receive permission from the team’s communications department.

All player and coach interviews must be arranged by contacting the Elks communication contact (listed above).  Players and coaches are also available daily following practice at the times noted in the practice schedule.

Media will receive a practice schedule weekly. All practices are open to the media unless otherwise noted. During the 2021 season, media are permitted to watch practice from Section Z, or Suite E0. Photographers and camera operators are permitted to shoot from the East side lower bowl.

The majority of post-practice media availabilities will be staged field level during the 2021 season. Media attending these media availabilities must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, be masked, and socially distanced at all times. All interviews will be conducted from a podium with media able to plug into a soundboard.

Filming times will be distributed to media weekly with the practice schedule. ENG cameras are welcome to film from the east sidelines at Commonwealth Stadium and from the south sidelines in the field house during these designated periods.  All broadcast equipment must be removed from the practice field immediately after the designated filming periods. Broadcast media may be asked to turn off their cameras at the discretion of coaches or communications staff during the filming time.  Camera personnel may not enter the playing field, unless permission has been granted.

Sideline photography during Elks practices and home games is limited to working media on assignment from a recognized outlet. Working media credentials must be displayed at all times. Field level photographer access will be limited during the 2021 season, as per the CFL’s media policy. Additional photographers will have access to other shooting locations.

Prior to proceeding to their respective locker rooms, select players are made available for media interviews on the field following the conclusion of the game for a maximum of five minutes. Non-rights holders cannot interject a live interview being conducted by a broadcast rights holder. Non-rights holders cannot simultaneously interview any player(s) that are being interviewed live by the broadcast.

Approximately 15 minutes after the final whistle the head coach and select players will be available for a post-game media conference. During the 2021 season all post-game media availabilities will be conducted virtually.

The Bryan Hall Media Centre is located on the west side of Commonwealth Stadium just north of Section C on the concourse level.  Entrance to the stadium is located at Gate 4 or 2 on the west side of Commonwealth Stadium.

The Bryan Hall Media Centre is for working members of the media only. Media centre space is limited and seating will be assigned per outlet during the 2021 season. Media centre services during the 2021 season will be limited due to COVID-19 protocols. There will be no meals available in the media centre during the 2021 season (refreshments only), and statistics will be distributed electronically.

Media will be socially distanced in the media centre and required to wear masks at all times (excluding active broadcasters).
