Project $2M: Pig out on pizza to support KidSport

Sport participation promotes the development of children’s social, mental and physical well-being. Kids learn leadership, hard work, dedication, and self-confidence, and build the habits and support network necessary to become healthy adults.

That’s why KidSport Edmonton wants to ensure all youth have opportunity to participate in sport.

KidSport Edmonton works to create equal access to sport programs by supporting children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees.

By increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens the community. And it’s the community that provides KidSport its strength.

KidSport’s ‘So ALL Kids Can Play!’ Grant Program is a community-funded fee assistance program that subsidizes sport registration fees for local KidSport kids. Ensuring all kids who dream to run out on the field, jump into a pool, dance across the floor, receive equal access to do just that. Donations can be made online or offline and 100 per cent of funds raised in KidSport Edmonton stay in Edmonton.

Another way to help raise funds for the ‘So ALL Kids Can Play!’ grant program by coming out to the annual Jason Gregor Pizza Pigout presented by Swift, Oct. 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in Molson Hockey House at Rogers Place. This year’s event is an 18-plus event at a licensed venue.

In what is best descried as “a cocktail style reception with a massive pizza buffet”, guests can pig out on unlimited pizza donated from local pizzerias and then vote for their favourites in eight categories.

Tickets and further information are available at JasonGregorPizzaPigout.com. Tickets are on sale until Oct. 6.
