Preparing to share the field with the Junior Eskimos

Edmonton Eskimos
Kylee’s Blog – Eskimo Cheer Team

The choreography is complete and our Junior Eskimo cheerleaders have come out to join the Edmonton Eskimo Cheer Team in preparing for their big debut at a home game on June 24th.

This is one of the aspects of the cheer team that I absolutely love!  The little ones come out with such huge smiles and such tremendous energy and spirit that I can’t help but walk down memory lane, recalling my formative dance years when I counted the days excitedly waiting for competition/performance season to begin!  Their utter joy is contagious and I have to grin with delight as I watch their youthful enthusiasm and love of cheerleading.

They will be so excited and proud to perform at a genuine professional football game in front of their parents, grandparents, and about 30,000 Eskimo fans. What more could a little budding cheerleader ask for?!

The Junior Eskimos Program makes me reminisce and recall the opportunity my sister, Kassidy, and I had to dance on the field at an Eskimo game when we were in elementary school.  I still remember the exhilarating feeling looking up at all the cheering fans. I am so happy to share this experience with another generation of young dancers. It will be such a wonderful opportunity for every child on the field, and every parent in the stands, to remember this performance for ever.
