2021 Edmonton Elks
Jaime Elizondo is hired as Edmonton’s 23rd head coach on February 1, 2021.
The club officially unveils its new identity on June 1, as the Elks name is officially reborn in Edmonton after previously being used during 1922.
The CFL formally approves a return to play on June 14, as the league prepares for an August start to the regular season.
The club finished with a 3-11 record and would miss the playoffs.
Don Wilson is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
On December 21, Chris Jones is named Elks general manager and head coach.
