2015 Edmonton Eskimos
The home-pre-season game and season opener, Northern Kickoff – the most northern game in CFL history, were relocated to Ft. McMurray during the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Eskimos finished the season with a league-best 14-4 record. Edmonton hosted the West Final for the first time since 2003 at Commonwealth Stadium where they would beat the Calgary Stampeders to advance to the championship game. Following a 10-game win streak, Edmonton defeated the Ottawa RedBlacks 26-20 to win the team’s 14th Grey Cup championship at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg.
Quarterback Mike Reilly was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Player and receiver Shamawd Chambers was named the Grey Cup Most Valuable Canadian.
Receiver Derel Walker was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Rookie, making it back-to-back rookie awards for the club.
Leroy Blugh is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
