2009 Edmonton Eskimos
Danny Maciocia steps down as head coach and is named General Manager and Director of Football Operations. Edmonton names Richie Hall as their new head coach. Edmonton finish 9-9, third in the West and would lose to the Calgary Stampeders in the West Semifinal.
Receiver Fred Stamps goes over 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in his career and finishes atop the CFL in receiving yards, while rookie running back Arkee Whitlock rushes for 1,293 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Rudolph “Rudy” Phillips is inducted in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame .
