1987 Edmonton Eskimos
Head coach Jackie Parker stepped down earlier in the season due to medical issues. Joe Faragalli would replace Parker and lead the team to a second-place finish in the West and return to the Grey Cup game at BC Place against the Toronto Argonauts. Edmonton would defeat the Argos 38-36 as Henry “Gizmo” Williams had one of his most memorable runs of his career, taking a missed field goal 115 yards for a touchdown. Quarterback Damon Allen and defensive end Stewart Hill would win Grey Cup MVP’s.
Dan Kepley and Roger Nelson are added to the Wall of Honour and Tom Wilkinson is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
