Edmonton finished third in the West with a record of 10-6 and for the third straight year they would lose in the Division Semifinal to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Quarterback Matt Dunigan threw for 3,410 yards and ran for a team-best 737 yards for Edmonton. Defensive back Laurent Deslauriers recorded nine interceptions and Tom Tuinei had nine sacks.

Frank Anderson and George McGowan are added to the Wall of Honour. Roger Nelson is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
