As the Green and Gold rolled into the 80’s the team didn’t miss a beat as Hugh Campbell’s squad once again finished first in the West (13-3). They would punch their ticket to the 68th Grey Cup in Toronto with a win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Final. The Eskimos would defeat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 48-10 in one of the most lopsided victories in Grey Cup history. It was the third straight title for Edmonton. Warren Moon (Offence) and Dale Potter (Defence) would be named Grey Cup MVP’s.

Dan Kepley is named Most Outstanding Defensive Player for the second time in his career, Mike Wilson is named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman and Rollie Miles is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
