For the first time in three seasons the club would not finish first in the West Conference, as Ray Jauch’s team finished third with a record of 9-6-1 and would lose in the Division Final to the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Bruce Lemmerman and Tom Wilkinson both took snaps behind center with George McGowan leading the way in receiving yards with 833. McGowan would be named a CFL All-Star for the third time in his career.
