1971 Edmonton Eskimos
In year two under Ray Jauch, Edmonton was 1-10 at one point in the season before winning five straight games to close out the season, finishing with a record of 6-10 and missing the playoffs. In his rookie season, wide receiver George McGowan recorded 49 receptions for 827 yards and five touchdowns to lead the team in all three categories. Green and Gold great Jackie Parker is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and defensive back Dick Dupuis is named a CFL All-Star.
