1969 Edmonton Eskimos
In 1969, the Edmonton Eskimos ended their season with a record of 5-11 and would miss the playoffs. The defense was a force allowing a league low 246 points, while defensive back John Wydareny finished the season with 11 interceptions. This would be Neill Armstrong’s last season as head coach of the Green and Gold.
Normie Kwong is inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.
