In 1955, the Green and Gold would finish in first place with a 14-2 record, going undefeated at home during the regular season. Edmonton would defeat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Final and go on to win their second consecutive Grey Gup, defeating the Montreal Alouettes 34-19 in Vancouver. Normie Kwong wins his first CFL’s Outstanding Canadian award after rushing for a team-best 1,250 yards. Jackie Parker threw for 775 yards and the defence proved to be a force, only conceding 117 points for tops in the league.
