In 1951 the club finished with 8-6 record and made it to third game of the best-of-three Western finals. Offensively, the Eskimos topped the league with 306 points. Normie Kwong ran for a team-best 933 yards and Frank Filchock threw for 1,826 yards.

On October 27th, Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh would attend the Western semifinal in Edmonton.
