Edmonton would miss the playoffs with a record of 7-11.

The Elks saw a massive overhaul to their Business and Football Operations, beginning with the appointment of former Grey cup Champion and Wall of Honour member Chriss Morris as the team’s President and CEO. Morris would bring back Ed Hervey as the Double E’s VP of Football Operations and General Manager, culminating in the addition of long time CFL coordinator Mark Kilam as the Elks 25th Head Coach in franchise history.

The Elks would sadly witness the passing of owner Larry Thompson, with ownership of the franchise remaining with his wife Deb.

Edmonton would finish the season with a 7-11 record for a second consecutive season, while running back Justin Rankin led the CFL in offensive yards (1,726) and was second in touchdowns with 13.
