• 2025: (Edmonton) Suited up for 10 games with the Elks and recorded 31 tackles in the Green and Gold. Added to the six-game injured list with an Achilles injury on Sept. 19 and missed the remainder of the season.
• 2024: (Toronto) Played in all 18 games with the Argonauts and set a new career high with 87 defensive tackles. Playoffs: Won the 2024 Grey Cup with the Argonauts
• 2023: (Toronto) Played 18 games with Toronto Argonauts. Recorded 72 tackles, 1 interception, 3 knockdowns, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. Returned an interception 15 yards for his first CFL touchdown in Edmonton June 25. Named Argos Most Outstanding Canadian. Playoffs: Recorded 5 tackles and 1 knockdown in Eastern Final loss to Montreal.
• 2022: (Toronto) Played 17 games with Toronto. Recorded a career-high 72 defensive tackles, 1 special teams tackle, and 2 interceptions. Recorded career-high 9 tackles against Montreal October 29. Playoffs: Recorded 4 tackles and recovered a fumble in Eastern Final win against Montreal. 109^th Grey Cup: Recorded 3 tackles in 24-23 win over Winnipeg.
• 2021: (Calgary) Played 7 games with Calgary. Finished season with 31 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble. Suffered season-ending bicep injury September 17 at Hamilton. Playoffs: Missed Western Semi-Final loss to Saskatchewan due to injury.
• 2020: No season.
• 2019: (Calgary) Played in 17 games with Calgary. Recorded 48 tackles, 7 special teams tackles, and 3 interceptions. His first CFL interception came September 2 against Edmonton off Trevor Harris. Playoffs: Had 3 tackles in Western Semi-Final loss to Winnipeg.
• 2018: (Calgary) Selected by Calgary Stampeders in the third round, 25^th overall, in the CFL Draft. Played 7 games. Finished with 5 special teams tackles. Made CFL debut June 28 against Ottawa. Playoffs: Did not play in Western Final win over Winnipeg. 106^th Grey Cup: Did not play in win over Ottawa.

Personal: Attended St. Edmond Campion in Brampton. Born in Lagos, Nigeria. Comes from an incredibly talented football family; his younger brother John Metchie III is a receiver with the Houston Texans, brother Miles played linebacker at Guelph, while brother Leon played defensive back at St. Mary’s. The family lived in Nigeria, Ghana, and Taiwan before moving to Canada.
