  • 2019: (Saskatchewan) Appeared in all 18 regular season games, setting a career high in tackles with 56 and two interceptions.
  • 2018: (Saskatchewan) In 18 regular season games, Gainey recorded 51 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, one forced fumble and a touchdown.
  • 2017: (Saskatchewan) Appeared in all 18 regular season games, making 48 tackles, scoring a touchdown and led the CFL in interceptions with 10. Gainey also set a Riders record with four interceptions in one game.
