Game Changers: A Women’s Training Camp presented by James H. Brown & Associates Alberta Injury Lawyers returns on Saturday, June 27th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm for its second year after a highly successful debut in 2025, which brought women together for an unforgettable evening of football, fun, and purpose while raising significant support for ovarian cancer research.
Building on that momentum, Game Changers once again invites participants to step onto Play Alberta Field at Commonwealth Stadium for an empowering football training camp experience. Participants will learn the fundamentals of the game, connect with others, and take part in a unique behind-the-scenes stadium experience, all in support of the Edmonton Elks Ovarian Cancer Research Endowment Fund, which has now surpassed $1 million raised to date.
This inspiring event continues to celebrate community, empowerment, and impact, proving that when women come together around sport and purpose, the results can be truly game changing.

PROCEED BENEFITS & HISTORY
Net proceeds go directly to the Edmonton Elks Ovarian Cancer Research Endowment Fund, helping to advance critical research and support women’s health initiatives. Established in 2008, the Endowment Fund was previously supported through an annual fundraising dinner that has now been reimagined into a new interactive event based on a football training camp. This initiative continues a history of support for Ovarian Cancer Research in honour of longtime Edmonton Eskimos staff member Pam Monastyrskyj who passed away following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
To date, the fund has raised over $1,000,000 for the cause.

Football Training Camp: Join Elks players and coaches for fun, beginner-friendly drills like catching, running routes, tackling, and more.

- Crash Pad Challenge: Tackle padded dummies—high-energy and photo-worthy fun!

- Route Runner: Follow cues through classic football routes and test your footwork.
