The Edmonton Elks and Football Alberta are teaming up to ensure that high school students can continue to play football during the Alberta Teachers Strike.

The high school football season is likely to be impacted while the Alberta teachers are on strike. To ensure that all high school football players can continue to play they game they love, we’ve teamed up with Football Alberta to give players the opportunity to play at Play Alberta Field at Commonwealth Stadium in our brand new High School Flash Camps – FREE, no pads training sessions designed for serious ball players who want to stay game ready.

• When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, starting Tuesday, October 7th
  • Exceptions: There will be no session on Thursday, October 9th and Thursday, October 23rd
  • This camp will run for the month of October or until the strike ends
• Where: Play Alberta Field at Commonwealth Stadium (enter through gate 2)
• Who: High School football players
• Cost: Free
• What to Bring: Players must bring cleats, water, & athletic wear. No equipment required.
