Kids 12 and under get in free for remainder of 2022

EDMONTON – There will be plenty of affordable fun for kids at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium the rest of this season, as the Edmonton Elks announced Wednesday that tickets for all kids 12 and under will be free throughout the remainder of the regular season.

The kids get in free initiative, presented by Save-On-Foods, launches in time for this Thursday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders (7 p.m.). Adults looking to bring their youngsters to the game can get up to four kids tickets (12 and under) for every adult ticket purchased.

While the tickets for kids 12 and under are free, they still need to be secured through Ticketmaster when the adult ticket is purchased. No promo code is required to secure the kids tickets – simply add them to your cart along with your adult ticket.

“As a proud community-owned club, we understand that one of our primary objectives is to build lasting memories for everyone in our community, most notably our youth. By greatly reducing the barrier to entry for kids 12 and under, we’re hoping to provide an awesome experience for 1,000s of kids this summer,” said Elks President and CEO Victor Cui.

“By expanding our kids get in free initiative beyond the traditional Labour Day Rematch game, we’re excited to welcome so many young faces to our games all season long. The thought of bringing the joy of Edmonton Elks football to the next generation of fans is energizing.”

In addition to Wednesday’s kids get in free announcement, the Elks also unveiled that all kids 12 and under are invited onto the field post-game for the Green and Gold’s eight remaining home games. Kids can enter the field by gathering at the bottom of sections C (west side) and RR (east side) at the conclusion of the game. An adult supervisor is welcome to join kids on the field, as they run on the same turf as their gridiron heroes.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Elks on their Kids Get in Free initiative to help more families make memories and experience Elks football together,” said Dan Howe, Chief Marketing Officer of Pattison Food Group.
