Ryan King Retires from the CFL

“Ryan King is easily one of the best people I’ve had the privilege to be around in football and in life. His impact in the locker-room, on the field, and in the community is second to none. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours and have no doubt he’ll provide the same character, leadership, and devotion he gave to this team for 9 years to wherever he goes next. Once. Always.”

GM/VP Brock Sunderland

I want to first thank the Edmonton Football Club for having the trust and support in me over the past eight seasons. I am forever grateful the memories and time we shared together.  Thank you to my family and friends for the endless amount of love and support throughout my career, I couldn’t have done it without you all in my corner.

I want to thank my Family:  David, Sharon, Andrew, Neil and Jen for always being there for me during my career. I truly could not have accomplished what I have without the support and love from you all and I am grateful to have shared many memories together over my career.

To all the Coaches, Players and Staff that came though that locker room, the time we spent and the memories we shared will never be forgotten. To the locker rooms, tunnel runs, wins, nights out and Grey Cup Championships, you all have a place in my heart forever.

To the City of Edmonton, the kids in this community, all the local businesses, The Pivotal team, Golf courses and all the others that showed so much love and support, thank you so much for making my time wearing the EE logo an incredible experience.

You all have inspired, motivated, and helped push me through many hurdles along my journey. I look back with such pride thinking of all the work that was accomplished in our community. The endless support and community engagement I received over my career, is something I will always be grateful for.
