Eskimos Mourn the Passing of Don Barry

The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club mourns the passing of former offensive lineman Don Barry, who passed away on June 1, 2014.

Barry was a member of the original Eskimos dynasty team who won three consecutive Grey Cup championships from 1954-56.

Born and raised in Edmonton,  Barry played on both the offensive and defensive line for the Green and Gold. During his 11-year career, he played 156 career games, including five Grey Cup games. In 2007, he was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame.

Barry also made an impact on amateur football, coaching the Edmonton Huskies and Edmonton Wildcats Junior Football Clubs, as well as the University of Alberta Golden Bears.

The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club extends our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
